There are only two ink cartridges to buy, either a kodak black cartridge or a 5 ink color cartridge. This makes it both easy and affordable to replace the ink, and you get the benefit of 6 inks from only two cartridges.
The new color cartridge system features a total of 5 different inks including magenta, cyan, photo black, yellow and what's known as a "P" coat or protective coating. In order to print photo quality images, you have everything you need and don't need to purchase anything else. Of course the black cartridge is used for plain text printouts.
The special pigment inks guarantee long life and vibrant colors on all your printed pictures.
You can also print all your pictures without needing a computer. If you camera takes a memory card the kodak 5300 will have a slot into which you can insert it. Alternatively you can use the USB port to connect your camera directly.
The 3 inch color display allows you to crop your photo's without a computer.
You can get kodak lab quality images (4"X6") printed in 28 seconds. The colors will be long lasting and vibrant to look at.
The system is both MAC and PC compatible with a built in high definition scanner for scanning and copying functions.
